The date is quickly approaching. Your orthodontist gave you the brace-removal date and you can hardly wait to get there. The patience that is required of you during this time is heroic. Broad Street Braces applauds you at your heroic levels of patience and endurance as you wait for the day when you can be brace-free!
What is the first thing you will do when you get your braces off? We certainly hope you take a selfie and post it and proudly present to all of your friends on social media the NEW you! Show off that smile. You earned the right to display, post and spread your smile everywhere. Go ahead and smile at strangers now. Maybe even give a big smile to that special someone you’ve been too shy to say “hello” to before.
The second thing we think you should do is eat a big bowl of popcorn (or any other foods you’ve had to take a break from during your brace-wearing time). A huge virtual high-five goes out to you for restraining from eating foods that could harm your braces and prolong your brace-wearing time. You powered through, showed self-control and now you’re reaping the benefits.
The third thing you’ll do is enter into the retention phase. This phase is really for the rest of your life! You are going to need to do everything to retain and keep that brilliant new smile you’ve worked so hard to get. You may have questions, and you will need to follow Broad Street Braces instructions on retainer wearing and all other dental care related to keeping your smile brilliant.
