Updated office procedures
Office Policies Regarding COVID-19, updated 12/2020.
It continues to be our top priority to keep our patients, their families, and our team safe and comfortable, and as we enter the colder months of the year, we want to share with you our updated COVID-19 office policies. Here is an overview of how we are continuing to make sure we all stay safe, and what you can expect at your next appointment:
- Team Member Screenings and Temperature Checks
-
Each morning, every member of our team completes an in-depth screening and gets a temperature check. Members of the team with any irregularities are asked to stay home.
- Patient Screenings and Temperature Checks
-
All patients will continue to be emailed/texted a mandatory pre-appointment COVID-19 screening 24-48 hours prior to scheduled appointments. If we do not receive this pre-appointment screening by the morning of your appointment, appointments may be postponed. Once patients arrive to their appointments, a member of our team will be at the front door for a second COVID-19 screening and temperature check. All persons entering the office must complete a COVID-19 screening and temperature check.
- Waiting Area
-
We are continuing to follow strict social distancing guidelines and at this time, we are still only permitting patients into the office. All parents, guardians, or siblings will be asked to wait outside or in their car. As the weather gets cooler, please be prepared for inclement weather. Once your child’s appointment is complete, a team member will escort your child to the front door, and instruct you to call our office at (215) 234-3030 to schedule your child’s next visit. Our team members and doctors are also available via phone to help answer any questions you may have about your child’s treatment.
- Masks
-
When inside the office, masks must be worn at all times. We urge patients to make sure that they are keeping 6 feet apart from other patients while making their way through the office.
- During Your Appointment
-
We are continuing to follow the strictest guidelines when it comes to infection control. This includes the use of gloves, masks, special N95 masks, gowns, eye protection, and alcohol or bleach-based germicidal wipes. All instruments and equipment are treated to prevent all communicable diseases, including coronavirus. We use an outside company to monitor our sterilization methods.
- Office
-
Our team will continue to clean and sanitize our office throughout the day. Doors, handles, chairs, tables, computers, and the front desk and reception surfaces are disinfected regularly and we are continuing to take steps to disinfect at an increased frequency.
- Appointment availability
-
To make sure patients are properly distanced throughout the office, we must continue to limit the number of patients we can safely schedule each day. We will continue to offer extended office hours and virtual appointments for certain appointment types to increase our availability. If you are unable to come to your appointment, please let us know at least 24 in advance so that we may offer this appointment time to another patient or family. Please do keep in mind that if you must reschedule an appointment, we will do our very best to accommodate, but we may not have an immediate alternative appointment time available. We thank you for your understanding and patience with this.
Please reach out to us with any and all questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!
